Development of intelligence as
an information resource to integrate project delivery:

We know how it's built.
Crucial to the development of our documents, accurate details
and information that support the design and agency requirements are
the most valuable intellectual legacy of our profession. These elements
are incorporated into blocks and assemblies stored in our library, assigned
by the professional in charge. The basic building blocks are established
from design and field experience and stored as 3D files.

This information is controlled
and managed. That's our responsibility. All the information
is overviewed through an online management portal that is available to
the team at all times. Design and production is directed in real time
by the responsible professional without any need for manipulating software.
Clients are able to see project visual progress and not just the bills.

A project database is information
that has value. It is valuable to us as well as to our clients
and the lifetime of their project solutions. Whether these are 3D
digital constructs using parametric software, 2D cad plans, Photoshop graphics,
CSI specifications, financial projections, code and agency analysis,
engineering calculations, design material illustrations, LEED submittals,
Form Z renderings, or any thing else, it creates an information set that
is irreplaceable. This creates models for future solutions as well as a means
to feed back modeling case studies for that building type. Each firm builds
on its own information base that is readily accessible to its teams and
incorporates feedback.
An open and flexible
platform, the web model, not the software model, is
central to this process.

Communication is crucial to
project management. Especially accurate and timely communication that
is secure and in real-time. Information should be ported quickly over
the web. Communication should be intuitive, accurately recorded, and available
to the entire team. Collaboration is supported with central information
management by the responsible professional who is overseeing the team.

Feedback from the jobsite is important.
This information in the form of reports, photos, realtime videos, shop
drawings, construction refinements, cost tracking and so forth, must be
incorporated into the database. This informs future projects with accurate
construction information and predictability.
